We're sending this message to the collegiate ranks for three reasons: 1) Please pass this along to any high school programs you think might be interested. 2) If you love writing science questions, we could use some more good ones at a relatively easy degree of difficulty. We'll trade a full tournament for every 15 original high school level science questions we get (tossups, boni, or both; a few math questions in the mix wouldn't hurt either.) Or if you're attending the Moon Pie in late April, here's a great way to cut your fees. 3) For those of you within driving distance of Chattanooga, we welcome extra officiating help. If you're planning to attend the Moon Pie and/or RC Cola tournaments in late April, you can get major discounts for helping us out on March 3 (as well as free dinner at Provino's, of course.) For more details, e-mail us at utcquizbowl [at] gmail [dot] com. ------------ With eleven days to go, we now expect 23 teams for the Dennis Haskins Open High School Quizbowl at UTC 3/3/2007. There is still room for more teams. If you do want to bring a team, we need to know by Thurs. 3/1/07 at the latest, and we need to know whether your team(s) will be in Division I or Division II. (Division II, or Junior Varsity, is for teams where all players age in grades 7-10.) Please e-mail us at utcquizbowl [at] gmail [dot] com with any updates. Here's the field as I have it: Brindlee Mountain (AL) 4 (2 Div I, 2 Div II) Detroit Catholic Central (MI) 2 (2 Div.
