Some comments about the NAQT ICT, and general thanks and congratulations: - Thanks to NAQT and BU for putting on a successful tournament. The attention to organizational detail was well done, moderators very good, logistics done very well. I very much appreciated the huge hall we had the first meeting in - this would have been great for the finals (instead of a cramped, hot room). I assume it couldn't be booked. I also would have liked to have had the chance to see the Division II finals: would it be possible next time to have ALL the finals in one room. Perhaps have game one of Div I, then game one of Div II, alternating until they are all done. - The questions were ok. I felt that the first few rounds were not great, and that the question editors did much better for the last 8-10 rounds or so. I might have said that the questions were too hard, but then I saw the final rounds. :-) I have seen complaints that there was too much pop culture and current events, so I'll put in my two cents that I disagree with this - fully realizing that the distribution is a matter of personal taste. I just don't want there to be the impression that the general taste of those present is leaning towards more academic subject matter. - Congratulations to Illinois, Princeton and Harvard on the championships! There was incredible parity among all the teams we played, so the fact that all three wins were convincing speaks volumes. Congrats to the other top div I teams (ie. Chicago, Michigan, Berkeley and a few others): they were clearly excellent and above the fray of us mortals. (cont'd next message) Rob
