There's some serious problems with Yahoo Clubs, besides the fact that it's rather buggy and the interface sucks. The two most important are in their guidelines: 1.Do not harass, abuse, or threaten other members. 2.Do not post content that is obscene or otherwise objectionable. What's the point of quizbowl discussions if we can't harass, abuse, and be objectionable? Also, what the hell is up with that question mark thing on the home page? It used to be big and even uglier, and I thought it was some sort of default image that stays until the club founder puts a real one on. Then it got all small and I realized, GOOD LORD, someone actually spent time making that thing. So we need a real mailing list. R. generously agreed to continue maintaining it. For those who have been complaining, are you prepared to offer a server to host a mailing list? If you care what the domain name is, then you have too much time on your hands. Turn your computer off and go take a walk, or read a book, or make a packet for the first playoff round of next year's Penn Bowl that's actually well written and makes some attempt to follow the distribution, just do something. So CBI will have to send their announcements to qb_at_...? HELL YEAH! If R. wanted to censor messages from ACF and CBI, he could have done it on the iastate list too. Why do you think he would start now? If your inbox is too small to handle a real mailing list, then get a better ISP, or just unsubscribe so you won't have to worry about it anymore and so we won't have to listen to any more unjustified whining. props to my man Josh Allen for bringing some sarcasm to yahoo clubs. Dave not speaking for the MAQT or for ACF
