There's been a lot of talk about a potential qb movie. Just in case Steven Spielberg suddenly goes insane, I have a few potential suggestions. The Quizbowl Club - Chicago Suburbia College sends its four best students to the Regional tourney - trash hound, an ACF player, the Spartans star quarterback, and a blonde supposed-airhead. They learn that impressions aren't always what they seem, and that winning is easy when you work together. Top Gunner - "The Buzz" is a great high school player who plays by his own rules. When he finally gets the chance to go to perennial powerhouse Chicago-College Park, he tries to unleash his own skills without self-destructing. When the Wolverines face off against their archrivals, The Buzz will need to play the game of his life for them to win. Problem is, he's playing against himself, too. Don't miss the Kenny Loggins-heavy soundtrack. Quibbles - Directed by Robert Nygard, this is a fun, if slightly disturbing, documentary look into the world of qb players. Look inside a realm where logic often takes a day trip. The Negmeister - Four freshmen miss their ride home for the evening. While waiting it out in the Blatty Student Center, they hear a dinosaur's tale of a creature from the depths who destroys anyone he sees. But it takes repeating the same word three times to summon him. Meow, meow, m.....
