NOTE: Please send correspondence about this to Joon Pahk, not me. Harvard College Bowl and Wellesley Quiz Bowl will be cohosting a modified singles tournament at Harvard on Saturday, May 6. The rounds will be tossup-only, with questions from UTK's Moon Pie Invitational held the previous Saturday. So, if you would like to come to this tournament, don't look at the tossups from Moon Pie. Format will depend on how many people end up playing. If possible, it will be round-robin with a championship match or two. Since it will be short, play will start at 10 a.m., so show up at 9:30. It'll be in the Science Center area, room numbers TBA. Eligibility is open--anyone, regardless of student status or lack thereof, may play. Since there was some interest, we will let teams of novice student players enter, on the condition that anyone who has scored at least 30 points per game at a non-novice tournament must play alone, and teams will consist of two or three players, whose combined best PPG at a non-novice tournament (not necessarily the same tournament for all three) is at most 60. If you have a funny situation in which someone who should qualify to play on a team doesn't, inquire. Cost will be five dollars/person. People will be expected to bring any buzzer systems they have access to, so that we don't have to inflate the prices to offer discounts. One person from each attending school should email me to let me know how many buzzers you'll be bringing. Please let us know if you would be willing to moderate at this tournament. If you'd like to play, please write even if you said you were interested when we sent out the preliminary announcement. Hope to see you there, David Farris Harvard College Bowl
