Here is the question set for qb-sports Rare Entries for "pivotal Week 8." Answers are due to me this week at cdbarker_at_... by July 13, 2000 at 6:00 PM EDT. If you have any questions or would like clarification, please feel free to email me as well. 1). A pro athlete who has released an album since 1990 (album and athlete)(Note: athletes who release albums as a part of a group are acceptable, however, all the members of that group, should others be named, will be considered to be the same entry.) 2). An America's Cup winning boat (name and year) 3). A defunct college football post-season bowl game. 4). A current MLB/NBA/NFL/NHL stadium or arena that is named after a person.* 5). A manager of the New York Yankees since 1973. 6). An NBA player who has won at least two of the following in his career: Regular Season MVP, All-Star Game MVP, or Playoff MVP. 7). A person who has won an NHL award and played NCAA hockey. *Since it has been asked and answered in the other group, I will explain it now: Corporate Stadium names, are they acceptable? "I, and this is a change from what I may have stated earlier, believe the answer here lies in the intent. For example, let's say I found a company, Barker Widgets, Inc., and I become so wealthy, I decide to by the Tulsa Night Rangers and build a stadium for them and name it for their benevolent owner, and Barker Stadium is born. This is acceptable. But let's say I also found an airline, Barker Air, and after I pass on, Barker Air decided to buy the naming rights to a stadium in Dublin for an NFL expansion team. This wouldn't work, because even though the company is named for me, the company, not the owner, bought the naming rights. It's a gray area, but that's how I see it." Hope to see you playing... CDB
