I'm throwing out a bone here, and I hope people get a feeler one way or the other. At my house, I've found a copy of 700+ questions on DC trivia. Now, I know that not all of them are askable to the general populace, but there are enough (Cabinet history, Presidential triviata, embassy row, Washington sports, etc.) that I will try to make a singles tournament out of it. The trick is, should I bother? I would like to know who out there would be interested in playing in an all-D.C.-related singles tournament that I would hold in conjunction with some tournament during the year, or on its own over winter break. The entry fee would be on par with other singles tournaments ($10 or so, IIRC) and I'd try to find D.C.-related prizes for everyone (stuff like "Enemy of the State" or "DC Cab", both of which were filmed in DC, or maybe some Capitals/United merchandise). Tournament questions would be rapid-fire (a lot of one-sentence stuff), and would definitely be history/trash subset skewed. I'd try to get as much variety as possible (some math computations for example). Anyway, if interested, respond to me at Durham_Devil_at_... and I'll check my email a week from today when I return to Duke, book in hand. Andy Goss
