That might explain it. What is it that singles out area code/airport code/highway/urban center/internet suffix boni as being so icky? Well, I think to an extent, it may be for the reason that you extol: the answer can be derived without any particular knowledge. If I had to guess, say, Malaysia's suffix, I would guess, in order: .my, .ml, .ma. It's just like postal codes, except the list is five times as long. It's like electron orbitals. If you know the Secret Code, you can get the whole thing without ever taking a chemistry class. But I think the thing that irks me most is the lack of creativity. Much as I might rail against the meanness in a bonus whose answers are "Hamilton"/"Lick"/"Wiener", it's still CLEVER. Much as I might not like to be on the receiving end of a bonus on, say, three of the lesser works of Berthold Brecht, I still get the feeling that someone cared enough to put together a certain degree of effort into researching and writing it. Questions on freeways/area codes/airport codes aren't trivial; they're almaniacal. If you submit me questions on freeways/area codes/airport codes, it means you don't love me. And if you don't love me...I'll be sad. Edmund
