My personal favorite neg in the history of OU quizbowl has to be Stephen Gill's answer to a question at Trashmasters 1999. The question started something like "You put your arm out and bend it in at the elbow, close your hand into a fist..." whereupon Stephen rang in, bursting with confidence and yelled, "Senor Bueno!!!" the Taco Bueno spokes-puppet. He immediately realized he was wrong, and his face changed from "full-of-pride" to "where-can-I-crawl" while Adam Mitchell and I both turned to him and said, at exactly the same time and in the same tone,"What the hell was that?" To which Stephen replied with silence and stared off into space. Now, whenever someone gives a ridiculously wrong answer to a question, we refer to that person as having pulled a "Senor Bueno," and we hold our hands out in mockery, fingers clasped together in our versions of the famous television personality. Having the "hand"-puppet say the wrong answer over and over again, such as to mock Stephen's proud guess this weekend -- "Zebu!" -- makes the remainder of the match just that much more fun. The correct answer to the toss-up at Trashmasters was, of course, the "Dirty Bird" dance. David Murphy
