(Off-topic aside: The user Phaedrus1313 is in a simulated baseball league with me. I just now almost got my Phaedrus's confused, since stratomatic is surely something I could picture Anthony DeJesus enjoying.) At least once to my knowledge, Canadian quiz players have approaced NAQT with the idea of writing Canadiana questions intended to replace the U.S.-centric questions at Canadian tournaments. This would be less messy if NAQT packs were assembled by hand -- R. Robert Hentzel would be the one most qualified to talk about any technical issues he saw fit to mention. If implemented in a reasonable way, I'd be mildly in favor of this. I suspect there is no consensus on this issue either way among present NAQT membership. It's the sort of thing that's fun to think about if everything else runs smoothly. I'm pleased to see sports distribution and Amerocentrism as the biggest topics of discussion (on the theory that you can tell a lot about a tournament by what it is that people complain about most), but I know there are plenty of other things also worth looking at for improvements. In re "2003 NAQT ICT in Montreal, anyone? :)" - for a tournaemnt known as ICT rather than NCT, it seems reasonable to assume that there will be a non-U.S. site some day. Hard to say when. (I'm not being coy, nothing to be coy about, just don't have a crystal ball.) Matt
