Stanford University College Bowl Club is proud to present the eleventh annual Cardinal Classic, the premiere timed invitational tournament on the West Coast. Last years field included 3 of the top 6 schools from NAQT ICT and we hope to have a similarly strong field this year. here's some basic info : 1. Date: 2-3 February 2001. The tournament will start at 7pm on Friday and will reconvene Saturday morning. Play should be finished in the late afternoon on Saturday the 3rd . (Note: If teams prefer Saturday-only please let me know.) 2. Location: Stanford University campus, about halfway between San Francisco and San Jose, CA. More detailed location info (which building, etc.) will be made available soon. 3. Format: timed tournament. Two 9-minute halves. ACF-NAQT hybrid questions. The format of the tournament itself will be officially determined when the number of teams participating is finalized, but fear not--no team will be lacking for games to play. 4. Divisions: Everybody is welcome to send a team (college students, masters, etc.) If enough teams attending qualify as a "Division II school" according to NAQT rules -- please specify that you do in your packet submission -- we will have separate divisions. (note: this tournament is in no way associated with NAQT) 5. Questions, comments, or to register: contact me, Prasun Ray, at prasun_at_... with "CCXI" in the subject line. 6.
