"The root of the problem
this year may stem from the lack of a third winter
Invitational Set as in years past (why?) but the solution as I
see it is as follows:"
This is not the root of
the problem; similar situations arose when we
produced three invitational sets for the fall and
winter.
As for why fewer sets (two, rather than three) were
produced: NAQT needs more writers. Anybody who has edited a
tournament (much less written one) knows how many hours it
takes to write and edit a tournament to a reasonable
level of quality. We would *love* to sign on more
reliable writers and produce more questions for a variety
of markets, but that sort of skilled labor is just
not coming out of the woodwork.
People
interested in becoming writers should contact me at
topquark_at_... or visit the "Jobs" site on our webpage
(<a href=http://www.naqt.com target=new>http://www.naqt.com</a>).
