IFT's bearing on ICT selection

I guess that Georgia Tech's Div I team last year
would be a good example of a strong IFT (then called
CCT) performance pushing a team into the ICT after a
weaker SCT performance. Tech went 13-1 in the fall NAQT
tournament here at the University of Florida, then 7-6 at
UTC in the spring.
