<< Exactly - if we had the money, why not be like Michigan and try to qualify _4_ teams...2 through the midwest and 2 through the Canadian sectional? It didn't happen this time, but it certainly could have. >> Shaun, that was never our intention. In all honesty, by going to Canada, I fully expected that, even if we were to win the SCT, we would be hard-pressed to earn a bid to the ICT. I was on our C team (which may be listed as A in the UWO stats), and while I can't speak for anyone else, I can say I fully expected that the only way I'd be going to St. Louis this year was if I were reading out there because the strength of the field in London, ON, was clearly FAR below that of most of the other SCTs. We all knew that a win at UWO wouldn't get us an automatic bid--the only way we'd earn a third D-I bid was if we went undefeated and thoroughly demolished every opponent in every game we played. Clearly, that's not realistic. We went up there to have fun: I know I didn't really feel like spending a fourth majority of a weekend staying out of town in a hotel and preferred the shorter trip. Do I feel we deserved a third bid? It's not my place to say, but in all honesty, I don't think so, but that's just my opinion--I'm sure others will disagree with me on this. I'm rambling--better quit even if I'm not ahead. David
