Brief Results from Sun-n-Fun

Since the organizers of the Sun-n-Fun tournament,
held on Saturday at USF in Tampa, are probably busy
running their trash tournament today, I thought I'd post
brief results from the tournament. This is all from
memory, so hopefully I'll get it all right. There were a
total of (I believe) 15 teams participating, after
Hillsborough CC and South Alabama failed to show up
(apparently without any advance notice). 5 div I teams and 10
div II teams played a nearly-complete round robin,
with each team playing 12 or 13 matches.
 
In
Division I, Florida A, Florida Atlantic A, and Florida
State were tied for first with one loss each (UF beat
FAU, FAU beat FSU, FSU beat UF). UF won on total
points, with FAU second and FSU third, followed by
Central Florida and Florida Community College at
Jacksonville placing 4th and 5th, respectively.

In
Division II, UF-B was the clear winner, going undefeated
against other Div II teams. The next four places went (in
order) to South Florida CC, Valencia Vanzetti, Valenica
Sacco, and the USF house team.

Top scorers in Div
I were Raj Dhuwalia of FAU, Chris Borglum of UCF,
Chip Thomas of FCCJ, Kevin Comer of UF, and Luke Tully
of FSU. Top scorers in Div II were John Allan from
UF-B, Deric from SFCC, Jim from Valencia Vanzetti, Adam
Brosius from FAU-B, and John Gano from Valencia
Sacco.
