I put together a set of 31 covers, on which to test people. In all, I ran two games. The first was won by David Murphy, who took home Musik Taglog Bersion, Volume Two. Let's just say that, I played one track for the room....it was a cover of Barbie Girl, by Aqua....and not in English. The second game was won by Greg Sorenson...I decided to be generous and gave him the CD's I was using. Second place in each game got a cheesy cover casette that I bought in the 80s. One was Miami Vice, the other was music from Rocky movies. Dave Dorman got one, I believe. And I forget who the other was. In my opinion. the most amazing buzz belonged to Rob Long, who got the Bangles version of Hazy Shade of Winter off the intro, when the rest of the room could not even heard anything audible. Some of the most amusing misses, were people going through just about every female Motown singer for what tourned out to be Tevin Campbell. Now, here's the list of songs I used. I am NOT making copies for anyone who asks...some people have pull to get me to do that though, and they know who they are ;). The most disgusting/scary ones are probably 11, 23, and 24. Perhaps even more scary is that Napster and similar ilk was used to acquire only four songs in this set. 1. They Might Be Giants, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Nirvana 2. Melissa Etheridge, Leader of the Pack, The Shangri-Las 3. Bangles, Hazy Shade of Winter, Simon and Garfunkel 4. Frente, Bizarre Love Triangle, New Order 5.
