I'd just like to say thanks to those people who have expressed their thoughts on our hosting abilities. Feedback has been virtually 100% positive. This is certainly due to forces greater than myself -- as I said following the D1 championship, I was merely the guy who accepted all the applause. I -- or rather, we here at the university -- certainly could not have made the ICT successful without volunteer support, and the NAQT staff definitely made my job as 'Site TD' a much easier one. I do apologize for the slight interruption caused by the film crew, though I had no knowledge of their planning to be there (something tells me that they weren't necessarily supposed to be there.) Aside from getting in to D1 headquarters for a few moments, competition wasn't hindered too much. Also, the room changes in D1 were last minute -- I discovered two days prior to last Friday that we had been double-booked with the group putting on the play on the Quad on Friday and Saturday. My thanks go especially to D2 players, staff, and volunteers, who undertook several mini-treks halfway across campus to play in their buildings. I'd hoped for closer accommodations, but those buildings posed the best location. All-in-all, the experience of hosting a tournament was enjoyable -- hardly stressful, even -- and I'd even go as far as to say that I'd do it again, if I had the opportunity. So who knows, look for the Monterey Institute in California to maybe host something in a few years.... Regards, -kenneth mitchell- President/Soon-to-Be Alumnus Washington University Academic Team
