Perhaps ACF lite would be the way to go for the
proposed ACF fall tournaments.
If ACF is a
philosophy, then "hard, medium, easy, butt-easy" is just as
pyramidal as "ass-hard, really hard, hard, medium hard,
medium," and more suitable for a novice team.
A
part of me thinks that a good ACF-ish project would be
for some veterans to get together and write a D2-ish
ACF set. You would think that novices are the ones
most in need of a non-submission tournament, since
they are still learning to write questions, and need
good examples from which to learn.
