As I sit here listening to Anne Robinson being interviewed in the expected sycophantic manner on an Atlanta morning show, I cannot help but fear that this show is not long for this world. Frankly, I think the questions are too damn easy, and watching stupid people miss easy questions just ain't that entertaining. Plus, NBC overhyped the catch phrase instead of letting catch on, and it has gotten annoying after all of two shows. Personally, I have never cared for the "confessional" parts of The Real World or Survivor, and I was none too pleased to see that aspect of the show. I do think the faster pace is nice, but then they do away with that for the showdown, when it actually counts. To me, this "phenomenon" smacks of the media liking it because they are afraid not to, rather than because they like it. It's saving grace may be the one night a week schedule, but no carry over storylines and an inability to hold momentum will probably prove a handicap. I don't really watch the kind of shows where I would see a reaction to the show (if that makes sense), but I doubt it will ever catch on with Letterman, Rosie, or Entertainment Tonight the way Millionaire and Survivor have. I just hope someone out in quizbowl land gets on the show sometime, so we can see how an intelligent person does. On another note, did anyone send in a tape for the Jeopardy Clue Crew thing? Not that I expected to be, but I haven't been called back, but I was wondering if anyone else had any luck. Kevin Crawford
