One thing is certain, Alex is likely to surprise you with what he asks you about. List your five things and prepare a snappy answer for each of them so you don't look like a dolt. There is no way of knowing which one he will choose. When I was there, I do believe I listed academic competition as one of my "interesting things," but he didn't ask about it in my three days there. Perhaps they don't want people to be able to say, "Well, of course he did well, he does this all the time." People like to think they can do what you just did. I honestly don't remember what he asked me about on my first day. The lady at the center station had put together a Jeopardy? square-dance call that somehow completely washed the entire event out of my mind...other than winning, of course. My other two days he asked me about home schooling my kids and what players I had on my Bill James Classic Baseball league. One thing that is really fun about the show is the few minutes you get to spend chatting with Alex as the credits run. He seems to converse with whoever's story was the most interesting during the show. I had several minutes to talk to him about the joys of having Satchel Paige and Dizzy Dean on a baseball team together. Jason
