This is a moderated group, with a team of moderators,
created after some chatroom discussions suggesting the
need for it. It is for announcements for tournaments
and such, which, seem to be getting lost by some
people amid the noise (and since I enjoy the noise, I
want it to stay that way). This is meant to be used in
conjunction with this forum, and hopefully announcements will
be posted to both.
As far as I can tell, I
have set it up so that one need not actually join the
group to post or to read the archived messages on the
website. I am also going about putting other people in
charge, so that it doesn't go defunct by virtue of the
group owner disappearing, like qb-chat.

and anyone else who have run lists such as this in
this past. Sorry if R.'s list isn't really defunct
now, but I think he could use a break from one of the
many things he does for quizbowl.
