National Academic Quiz Tournaments, LLC is pleased to announce the availability of intramural questions for the 2001-2002 competition year. Intramural questions are intended to appeal to a broad collegiate audience and are appropriate for use in a campus tournament in which players have little or no experience with organized academic quiz competition. Many quiz clubs find that sponsoring an intramural tournament is an effective way to discover and recruit new members, while also providing an entertaining event for their student bodies. Such an event can serve as justification for the club's funding by the student government to attend invitational tournaments at other schools later in the year. Intramural tournaments also provide an opportunity for junior club members to prepare for circuit invitationals as well as NAQT Sectional and Intercollegiate Championships. The packets may be used for any type of on-campus event including fund-raisers, student-faculty games, or club practices. They may not be used (without prior permission) for events involving students from other institutions, collegiate or otherwise. The packets will be available to ship on September 10, 2001. Intramural questions are $300 for 20 packets (each with 26 tossups and 26 bonuses) for established schools. New programs are eligible to receive the intramural questions for only $50 in order to help them get over the hurdle of establishing a club.
