As you know, this is not really a "tryout" as much as it is a casting call. They're looking for a villain, an airhead, an obnoxious person, etc. Being a good QB player is not necessarily an advantage. I went to one of their first tryouts in Miami before the show first aired, and I played it straight. Obviously, I got no call-back. So, then at last month's tryouts in Orlando, I decided to be outrageous. I told them my name was "Jacko", I told jokes, the whole bit. I'm pretty sure I aced their test this time, 20 out of 20. I did make it through to the second round, where you appear on camera, tell about yourself, and play the game. I told more jokes, got all my questions right, and was the only one who remebered to bank. I thought I made a good impression...but, no call back. At this point, I don't know what else they're looking for. I was as charming as I can be. :-) Of course, even if I were to make the show, I'd have to be careful not to be voted off in the latter rounds by the second- or third-strongest link. I have a strategy for that, too. But so far, my strategies haven't paid off too well... Jeremy Rasmussen P.S. My opening line in the first round: "Hi my name is Jacko. My wife helped me prepare for this by dressing up in leather and hurling insults at me...oh wait, that had nothing to do with the show! <g>"
