For example, when I ran Yale's team, we got the money at the start of the semester, so we didn't need much of the information you listed. ----- In which case you need less...what's wrong with getting more information than you need? By: stipenn Date: 10/20/01 10:05 am However, for example, I'm not about to put my phone number--or anyone else's--on every receipt, just because one or two teams need to have it. IMO, if you need information that could reasonably be deemed private (e.g., a person's phone # or social security #), it's *your* responsibility to let the tournament hosts know. --- I requested phone ### for the situation where a club has an office phone, which under no circumstances could reasonably be deemed private (ours is listed on every page of our website) When this is not the case, it is still the host's responsibility to make sure everyone can pay their bills. After all, if there's a problem, the hosts are the ones who are SOL because they're the ones not getting the money. Unfortunately, even if the funding people at Michigan are more anal than most, tournaments have to meet the most stringent standard in this case, not the average or least stringent one. Dave
