Congratulations to Soul Truck (Phil Groce, Keith Hudson, James Quintong, Chris Sloan), winners of the 2nd annual Big Lots Clearance Open trash tournament. Second was I Am Hamburglar, Destroyer of Worlds (Georgia players); 3rd went to Vic Taybackstreet Boys (Lee U. alums.) In the special song lyrics competition run by the Lyrical Gangster, Ward Cullum, reigning K-Tel Hellion Chris Hendry squeaked by Keith Hudson in overtime to claim first and the Richard Clayderman album. For his 2nd place finish, Keith took home the Tom Wopat album. Now comes the usual outpouring of gratitude. We begin of course with Jeremy White, who with help with Ben Lea and the guys from Berkeley wrote and edited FOGHAT and allowed us to mirror it. For those who weren't there, Round 4 was a trash masterpiece for the ages, and I highly recommend you buy a set of questions from Jeremy. Tom Michael, Toby Walter, Ruth Jackson, and Stephen Taylor came to read and thus made it possible for us to run a full round robin with no byes. UTC's Shannon Moore, Wally Edmondson, John Kilby, and David Moore handled tournament setup, and Russell Morisch served as gopher and provided extra manual labor. And UTC stats goddess Dorothy Morisch breezed past major keyboard problems and did her usual stellar job of keeping up with tournament standings and stats. Speaking of which... STANDINGS Results may be a bit misleading because the two Florida State teams (Hurricane Ditka and Kathleen Turner Overdrive) had to leave after Round 4.
