Delaware hosted our second annual freshmen-sophomore only tournament on Saturday, where the only dinosaurs were us moderators (and believe it or not, I am not that old, only a 21 yr old 5th year senior). We conducted a round-robin tournament with 11 teams (Georgetown was unable to get here, we did not know until later, so teams were given forfeit byes in their games). At the end of the round robin, the top two teams were Duke (11-0) and Swarthmore (10-1). They played a rematch for the title and Duke once again won, this time by 5 points. I would like to thank Sarah Newhouse, Travis Hubbard, and Jack Good for the way they ran this tournament. This was the first time that they had ran a tournament, and as sophomores, each gave up the chance to play. With the exception of the bonus in the finals that caused the protest, I think this tournament went smoothly. Below you will find the round robin standings of the event. Complete stats, including the playoff game & individual stats, will be published within the next 48 hours on the ACC Webpage at http://udel.edu/stu-org/acc .
