A thought.
How much of the debate over
last weekend's tournaments is occurring only because
it was called "ACF Fall" and not "<generic
name> Fall Tournament Day"? I haven't been on the
college circuit long, but I fail to see how this
tournament was any less d2-friendly or whatnot that any
other packet-submission tournament. The only
differences I perceived were competent central editing and a
seeming underreliance on spellchecking.
I find it
laughable that a tournament where the answers were so
accessible has drawn this sort of criticism (if anything, I
thought that some of the questions were too easy to
differentiate between top teams), and I can find no other
reason that it has been singled out for such discussion
than the fact that it carried the ACF
name.
Thanks, Kelly, for your hard work editing.
