I am a prime example of a player who does much better in ACF than CBI, although recently my CBI scores have climbed up a bit due to CBI's attempt to become more "mainstream" (whatever that means). *** Okay, so I do know Cam from playing quiz bowl against him and seeing him at tournaments for the past two years. I've played in all the aforementioned tournaments except for the one at UCLA this year. I can honestly say that there were ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF CHEATING in the games I played against Cam. Like he said, he got all the crappy "list" questions written by inept people who obviously have no deep knowledge on the subjects nor took the time to carefully research each question from reliable sources. So, instead of laying blame on an individual player who actually made the effort to memorize lists catered to lazy writers of list-based questions, let's all strive to write better questions that rely more on "real" knowledge of the subject matter than crappy list knowledge. Having played quiz bowl and written countless packets for the past nine years, I still cannot help myself but cringe at a list-based tossup. Oh, and if there is a QB mob out there to put Cam on trial, I'll testify. And whoever made that initial accusation: Why don't you come to UCI for ACF Regionals in February and find out for yourself?
