I think everyone adequately addressed the other
arguments. As for this one:

I have actually heard this brought up in court
before, and saw a person go free because of it.
REALLY!
It goes toward demonstrating character. Fewer than
one out of every 172 boys, and less than 3% of all
Boy Scouts obtains the Eagle Scout award. Eagles are
valued in our society, because they have proven that
they can achieve a long-term goal through hard work
and despite many obstacles.
