I believe all knowledge can be put in the form of
lists. Some are just more compact than others. We can
have a list of anecdotes or familiar quotations just
as of state capitals. For a set of lists that I have
put together
see:
<a href=http://www.faqt.org/StudyLists1/StudyLists1.htm target=new>http://www.faqt.org/StudyLists1/StudyLists1.htm</a>
If people would like to add lists, send me .html
files and I will add them. If someone else wants to
maintain this set of lists, more power to them, and I will
turn over the keys.
That said, note the
following from that page:
Note: One way to become a
better quizbowl player is to study lists. This is not a
claim that studying lists will make you a better
person, just one who gets more points in quizbowl
competitions. In fact, making your own lists will undoubtedly
make you a better player than studying someone else's.
That said, here are some lists. Smart Lists, denoted
by italics , have embedded links. (The others are
dumb lists). Use those links to search the web and
read up on the subject. That might make you a better
person.
