The University of Michigan, in conjuction with Girl Scout University, hosted the 2002 Michigan NAQT High School State Championship Tournament on March 9, 2002. As a result of the early departures of Northville, Lumen Christi, and Immaculate Conception, Kalamazoo Christian A advanced to the Martindale Division despite finishing fifth in their preliminary bracket.
