I almost have to agree in with Adam and Ross here. I didn't mind that questions got a little harder. Frankly, I expected that. What I didn't expect was what my team and I percieved as a shift in distribution. Now, I'm sure some TRASH official will post stating that's not the case but that's not the way it felt. It seemed as though the 'big four' categories were deemphasised and in some cases questions seemed out to punish those with real knowledge in certain areas. Questions asking you to identify female assistant GMs from bra size (or something like that) took the place of real sports questions and penalized those teams whose strength is sports. In cases like that it almost feels more like the questions are beating you more than the other team and I would like to think that's not the effect TRASH was going for. Also, there were just way more "other" questions than there were at regionals and they all seemed of the product question/uber-geek variety. It made for a strange tournament. However, in the end most of the usual suspects were in the top bracket so one might be compeled to say it didn't matter but I think it does because this time the questions took a lot of the fun out of playing, and I know *that* was not the intended outcome.
