On Sunday, April 21st, The Johns Hopkins University hosted its Popular Culture Undertaking, or PCU (we seem to be making a living milking that movie for all it's worth nowadays). A total of eleven teams participated, and we would like to congratulate the winning team, "Fellowship of the Ring Around the Collar", led by David Goodman, who went undefeated through regulation play and then defeated their fellow Maryland alumni Arthur Fleming & Co. for the championship. The final stats and standings for PCU can be found at http://jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu/~mkd13/pcuscores.htm The tournament director would like to send special thanks to the following individuals: Adam Fine, for helping me pull it off when a couple teams canceled at the last minute... Brick Barrientos for giving up a Sunday to come moderate...AND for putting up with the one room we didn't have buzzers in :)... and last but certainly not least, James Dinan for forming a team at the last minute so we could balance the schedule out (and congrats on winning first all-star too, James). I'd also like to thank all the JHU College Bowlers who came out to staff (and, as it turned out, participate in) the tournament as well. Thanks again to all teams who attended, and we hope to see you all next year! Mike DeSantis President, JHU College Bowl
