The 2008 Minnesota team generally consisted of Rob Carson, Andrew Hart, Gautam Kandlikar and often, Bernadette Spencer. Other notable players for Minnesota in 2008 include Andrew Bockover, Ryan Peterson, Matthias Hunt, Daniel Weispfenning, Rita Otto, Mike Parks, Chris Bauleke, Sean Skaar, and College Jeopardy! contestant Meredith Johnson. Quentin Roper sometimes played with Minnesota teams as well.
Regular season
The team competed together or in various configurations at fourteen regular collegiate tournaments. Notable finishes include top-four rankings at Titanomachy, Illinois Open, Michigan MLK, Penn Bowl, and ACF Regionals. The team won every novice event it entered: EFT 2, ACF Fall, and a one-two finish at the Illinois Novice. In addition, the team finished fourth at the North NAQT SCT and earned a berth to the 2008 ICT.

Rob, Andrew, and Gautam got twelfth place overall, and third place in the undergraduate division.
ACF Nationals
Rob, Andrew, Gautam, and Bernadette got fifth place overall, and won the Undergraduate and Division II titles. Rob and Andrew got individual scoring awards.
College Bowl
Ryan, Andrew Bockover, Rita, Mike, and Meredith placed third in the country, behind Rochester and New Mexico.
