This article describes the quizbowl team at the University of Michigan. For high quizbowl in the state of Michigan, see NAQT Michigan State Championship.

The University of Michigan is a large public university in Ann Arbor, MI. Its quizbowl team has historically been quite active, winning back-to-back titles in 2001–2 and 2016–17.

Tournaments

The University of Michigan is home to the Autumn Classic, an annual high school tournament, and has hosted the NAQT Michigan State Championship tournament several times. Michigan also used to produce and host Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Tournament until 2008 when it was discontinued and replaced by ACF Winter, which Michigan was the midwest host for during both years it was run. The Ann B. Davis trash tournament was traditionally run alongside MLK until 2008.

Michigan collaborated with UVA on Missiles of October in Fall 2011 and wrote QUARK in Fall 2012. Michigan also hosted ACF Nationals in 2015.

Leadership

Michigan is run by the QB Triumvirate composed of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Internal Affairs, and the Director of External Affairs. In 2013, a Tournament Director position was added to the EBoard.
