It contained the Cardinal District, Cedar Run District, Commonwealth District, and Western Valley District. Like all VHSL regions, it sent two teams to the VHSL Scholastic Bowl state championship tournament for the sixteen-year duration of the original Scholastic Bowl tournament structure.
