Riverbend High School is located in Fredericksburg in northern Virginia and is coached by James Conlee. Riverbend is active in both the invitational circuit, VHSL, and Battle of the Brains.
In VHSL, Riverbend was part of VHSL Region I until after 2007, when it moved up to the VHSL Northwest Region. After the 2014 VHSL Realignment, the school became part of VHSL Region 6A South. Starting with the 2017-18 season, Riverbend will be part of VHSL Class 6 Region B as a result of the 2018 VHSL Realignment.
Riverbend placed second at the 2007 Region I tournament and the 2016 6A South tournament. They won the Conference 4 tournament in 2014, 2016, and 2017, and placed second in 2015.
Riverbend first participated in the invitational circuit in the 2016-17 season, attending Cavalier Classic, VCU Winter, and GSAC. Riverbend placed 9th in the 2007 Battle of the Brains.
