| + | I knew the by-law referred to a "school" qualifying and remember Rock Bridge getting a standby B team into HSNCT last year without ever qualifying two teams to my knowledge, so it's great to know that is officially OK, especially given the less generous interpretations of certain other MSHSAA rules. The "must qualify" rule
According to NAQT's conversations with MSHSAA, this also excludes standby teams, but it's the school that must qualify, not a team — so a B-team wildcard (or standby team) would be okay if the A team qualified. I knew the by-law referred to a "school" qualifying and remember Rock Bridge getting a standby B team into HSNCT last year without ever qualifying two teams to my knowledge, so it's great to know that is officially OK, especially given the less generous interpretations of certain other MSHSAA rules.
