In 2013, a team from the school won the Tri-State Championship on the TV show, The Challenge. In 2013, 2015, and 2024, the team finished in the top three in the NAQT state championship (NAQT New Jersey State Championship and LIQBA Garden Cup). The team came in 7th in the 2021 SSNCT. In 2012, 2022, 2023, and 2024 the team came in the top 30 in the National History Bowl Varsity Division.
The 2023 team, composed of Luke Wolter '23 (captain), Olin Bose '24 (co-captain), Leela Amarasiri '23, Owen Hatton '25, Andrew Matty '26, and Gavin Hornyak '26, came in 27th out of 96 teams and won the Varsity Small Schools championship, the first national championship in school history. In 2024, the team, composed of Olin Bose '24 (captain), Topher Nielsen '25 (co-captain), Jayden Cao '25, Owen Hatton '25, and Andrew Matty '26, came in 6th out of all teams, the best finish by a Varsity small school in IAC history, and the second consecutive Small School championship. In that same year, captain Olin Bose won the IAC US History Bee Varsity national championship.
