Ben Chametzky

Ben Chametzky was a member of the Carbondale Quiz Bowl team until 2012. He played for Chicago during his first two years of college.

Career

In 2012, Ben was the core of the Carbondale teams that national season. He played with teammates Anish Bhattacharya, Srinivas Panchamukhi, and Michael Steele on the Carbondale team that placed t-33rd at the 2012 HSNCT. He played alongside Michael, Natalie San, and Prerak Trivedi at the 2012 NSC, where Carbondale placed 5th and Ben was the 2nd prelim scorer (behind Adam Silverman. That year, Ben joined with Nolan Winkler, Alex Kling, and Lloyd Sy to form Team Illinois at the 2012 NASAT, where they placed 2nd behind Team California.

Ben was on the DII Chicago A team that placed 3rd at the 2013 ICT, where he played alongside former Team Illinois teammate Nolan Winkler, as well as Michael Coates and Bernard Xie. He joined Daichi Ueda, Charles Tian, and Ben Gammage as members of the undergrad Chicago B at the 2013 ACF Nationals, where they placed 9th.
