The 2005 High School National Championship was won by Thomas Jefferson, a team consisting of Sam Lederer, Dan Wright, Will Sullivan, and Jacob Oppenheim. The tournament was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. 96 teams competed in the tournament.
Tournament results
Thomas Jefferson beat Lakeside in the finals 415-325, despite negging ten times during the match and being down 205-30 at one point in the match. In the prelims Thomas Jefferson had defeated Lakeside 655–155. State College defeated Solon to place third and Solon won over Mission San Jose in the fourth place game.
