Steven Oppenheim attended Case Western where he played on the Case Trivia Club alongside Drew Scheeler, Matthew Hayes, and Steven Wellstead.

After graduating, Oppenheim and Scheeler continued to play trash tournaments together across the midwest and Canada, including placing second at Super ACRONYM and top bracket placements at several Chicago Open Trash tournaments throughout the 2010s.

Oppenheim won the 2020 Impossible Lair video game tournament and the 2024 MoNintendo event playing with Hex Reymann and Jake Sundberg.

With Scheeler, Steven Kaltenbaugh, and Steve Perry, Oppenheim was victorious against a quiz computer at the 2018 QANTA Human-Computer Open. A lifelong Clevelander, Oppenheim has received player's poll votes as a top Canadian trash player.
