2002 Kentucky
The University of Kentucky's Academic Team fielded squads to a number of tournaments throughout the 2001-2002 season, winning such events as Carnegie Mellon's E-Bowla, Washington University's St. Louis Open III, the inaugural ACF Fall, and UTC's Moon Pie Classic . It also competed at ACF Regionals and ACF Nationals, coming in third at the former and second at the latter, the highest Nationals placement the team has thus far ever managed.
While there were often multiple teams sent to these events (and others), the "A" team typically consisted of Seth Kendall, Kelly McKenzie, and Robert Osborne (notable exceptions were the teams fielded at the SLO, to which Robert could not go; the Fall, which Kelly edited; and the Moon Pie, where Kelly decided to play solo for variety's sake).
