Em Powers is a player at WUSTL. They were club president from 2020-2022.
In high school, Em was recognized as one of the top players in Missouri. They led Louisiana High School to two consecutive Class 2 MSHSAA state championships, breaking Max Schindler's tournament-wide tossup record in the process. Their team also won two consecutive Very Small School titles at the NAQT Missouri Qualifier. Em was the top individual scorer in the Traditional Public School division of both the 2018 and 2019 SSNCTs, where they led Louisiana to 10th- and 11th-place finishes.
