Jade Dai is a current member of the Plano West quiz bowl team and former president of the Jasper High School Quiz Bowl team. He was formerly the president of the Rice Middle School Quiz Bowl team, succeeding Abraham Zhang and Frank (Zihan) Xu and preceding Goutham Krishna Ronanki and Alexander Zhao. He has maintained a six-year status in Quiz Bowl, participating in the 2020 and 2022 PISD Middle School Quiz Bowl Championship, and for Jasper the 2023 and 2024 PISD Quiz Bowl High School Championship, the 2022 TQBA Kickoff XVIII Tailgate Classic, the 2023 ILLIAC Playtest Mirror, the 2023 TQBA Kickoff XIX Tailgate Classic, the Plano West-hosted LUKA III tournament, the 2023 St. Marks Invitational, the 2024 Costa Rica International Pool Bash, the 2024 L. D. Bell Invitational, the 2024 HAMLET hosted by Tanay Bodducherla and Aatreyo Bhattacharya of Mira Loma High School, and the 2024 Maryland Spring Invitational, and for Plano West the 2024 Geography Front II, the 2024 TQBA Online Jamboree, the 2024 Cistercian Spring Invitational, the 2024 KRAMIG III hosted by Andrew Gao, the 2025 St. Marks Invitational, and the 2025 TQBA Prickly Pear. He has also represented the highly acclaimed PWASHED Smart Knowledgeable Intellectuals Buzzing In Deliberate Inquiry at the 2024 DMA invitational (hosted by Daniel Ma). He competed in the 2024 NAQT Individual Player National Championship Tournament, placing 147th in the field and ranking 23rd in the history subcategory. He has additionally revived Jasper Quiz Bowl, through his essential outreach managers, from a state of dysfunction to a thriving club with 125 members. Jade specializes in history, geography, current events, politics, Christian literature, and soccer. Recently, he has additionally traversed to an expanded interest in poetry, general literature, and a limited scope of biology and physics. He is also the manager of the NAQT-sponsored buzzword community identified as the "International Jasper High School Association's Buzzword Grind".
