MacVanity is a vanity tournament hosted by McMaster University that was first held in March 2015. The tournament is entirely packet-submission with no central editing, suggesting 1/1 of each major academic and popular culture categories and the rest writer's choice. Writers are encouraged to write multimedia and interaction questions. Traditionally, half of the tournament's profits are donated to the McMaster's Children's hospital.
MacVanity has been criticized for being a poor way to introduce new players to question writing.
