Mounds View

Mounds View High School is a public high school in Minnesota. Its quiz bowl team was founded in the late 2000s and emerged as a highly competitive team locally in the early 2010s. After suffering a brief lull in the middle of the decade, Mounds View forcefully returned to prominence in the 2017-18 season, placing third in that year's Minnesota High School Quiz Bowl League and fourth at the 2018 NAQT Minnesota State Championship, as well as making the HSNCT playoffs for the first time. The next year, now led by emerging superstar Shardul Rao after the graduation of longtime leading scorer Justin Duffy, Mounds View capped a stellar league season by winning their first title. Further recent accomplishments by the program include placing second at back-to-back NAQT state championships in 2019 and 2020.
