Talk:Quizbowl Wiki:Privacy policy

In light of several people contacting me in the past few months about personal information on this site that is either false or has nothing to do with quizbowl (and has potentially damaging consequences for googling employers and what have you), I think it might be time to institute a more restrictive privacy policy. I propose that the new rule be that someone's permission has to be obtained first before non-quizbowl antics are posted on this site. Things they've said on hsquizbowl about quizbowl, or other quizbowl activities are fine, but posting people's personal information is going too far, even if this information is available in other (probably more widespread) sources online. --Ikillkenny 18:11, 20 May 2008 (PDT)
