Thomas Dale High School is located in Chester, near Richmond, in Virginia and is coached by Charles and Pam Hughes. Thomas Dale is active in VHSL.
In VHSL, Thomas Dale was part of the VHSL Central Region until the 2014 VHSL Realignment. After the 2014 realignment, the school became part of VHSL Region 6A South. Starting with the 2017-18 season, Thomas Dale will be part of VHSL Class 6 Region B as a result of the 2018 VHSL Realignment.
Thomas Dale placed second at the 2000 Central Region tournament.
Thomas Dale played Battle of the Brains and won the Richmond show in 1987, placing second in 1988, 1992, and 1999. They also attend the VCU Battle of the Brains-style Tournament.
