I am an animal biology sophomore at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. In September 2008, I founded the University of Guelph quizbowl team as a freshman, and have served as its president since then. Since my graduation from Lisgar Collegiate Institute in Ottawa, Ontario in 2008, I have assumed the role of student coach of the Lisgar quizbowl team. In the 2008-2009 school year, I was the tournament director of Guelph's mirror of the Terrapin Invitational Tournament, ACF Regionals Central Canada, Minnesota Undergraduate Tournament, Toronto Winter Invitational (high school), and the NAQT Ontario Provincial Championship (high school). I am passionate and enthusiastic about the improvement of high school academic competition across North America, and particularly in Canada, and I am heavily involved in these efforts.
